Christmas

Music, games and party food were a fitting end to a wonderful term. The children were all very excited about our class party. They enjoyed making party hats with Mrs Thomas and playing party games. We also had a visit from Father Christmas. Here are a few photos of the day……

Meeting Father Christmas

In preparation for the new children joining us, we have prepared a few photos of the classroom to look at so that they can familiarise themselves with the nursery environment and staff.

Nativity

It has been a very exciting week in Nursery. We loved dressing up and performing our Nativity play for our parents and families. I am sure you will all agree that the children were super stars! Here are some photos of us dressed up in character!

We have had fun doing a variety of Christmas activities. We used the ipads to count the number of buttons on the gingerbread man’s body, we threw dice and then stuck the correct number of stars or baubles on our Christmas trees and we looked at Christmas catalogues to see if we could spot any letters we knew. There were lots of items we liked the look of and have now added them to our Christmas lists!

Thanks you to the parents who volunteered time last weekend to get our ‘mud’ kitchen ready for us to enjoy. We had lots of fun collecting water and mixing mud!

On Thursday we came to school wearing red, white and blue for our French morning. We answered the register in French and everyone said ‘Bonjour’ beautifully. We went on a treasure hunt outside and found pictures of French objects like the French flag, croissants and a Euro coin. The children kept a record of what they had spotted by ticking the pictures on their sheet. At snack time we had some baguette to eat. Yum, yum!

Next week we will be reading some Christmas stories and enjoying our Christmas party on Thursday afternoon.
