Pond week and Art week

We have had a busy couple of weeks in Nursery. The week before half term we enjoyed visiting the pond. We managed to catch a pond skater and a fish. The children were very patient as they dipped their nets trying to catch the fish who seemed quite shy!

When the children brought in their favourite books , one book we particularly enjoyed was "Kitchen  Disco." Last week we listened to the story again of what all the different fruits got up to when left alone in the kitchen. We then made a fruit smoothie and enjoyed drinking it together in the sunshine.
This week we have joined with the rest of the school to take part in Art Week. All the classes have designed a banner. Our theme was Responsibility and Creation. The banners will be displayed in the school so do take a look.

This half term we have started a new topic on animals. This week we began by talking about which animals we would like to find out about. We also voted on our favourite animal and thought about the different ways animals move.

Next week we will continue to practise for Sports' day. Please can all children wear trainers to school on Thursday. All parents and carers are welcome to come and watch the children take part in Sports' Day on the morning of Friday 23rd June.
Here are a few of the other things we have done this week,

Have a lovely week,

Jill Clarke
